Polk County Warming Centers: The Polk County Warming Centers will be activated this weekend. Here is the list of open warming center sites throughout Polk County:
Falls City Community Center open Fri. 1/12 – Mon. 1/15
Community Life Church open Fri. 1/12 – Sat. 1/13
Dallas Church open Sun. 1/14 – Mon. 1/15.

Warming Center Transportation: Anyone is eligible for free transportation to local warming centers with Cherriots. If a person mentions that they are headed to the warming center they are eligible for a free ride. Please note that due to the holiday Cherriots is running at reduced hours, this may be further impacted by any severe weather. Additionally, there is a free Lyft ride service for those in Polk County trying to access warming centers. To schedule a ride to a warming center in Polk County, please text 898211 or call 211. This service will be available through the end of the cold weather event.
