Service providers and community members came together for the “Community Information Summit: Homelessness and Housing Initiatives in Rural Polk County.” This event was hosted on June 21, 2023 at Western Oregon University’s Werner University Center. A panel of service providers shared information about their programs.
After the series of presentations, service providers hosted tables. Community members had the opportunity to circulate from table to table and ask questions and connect with service providers. Thank you to over 20 service providers and over 100 community members who attended.
The Community Information Summit was sponsored by PATHS (Partners Aligned Toward Housing Solutions), an advisory board that was established in rural Polk County in 2022 to coordinate and strengthen the local homeless response. Participating local governments and organizations include Polk County, the Cities of Dallas, Falls City, Independence, Monmouth, Willamina, the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, and the Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency.
